CLIVE JAGGER WITH DIEGO FORLAN
I have been a little pre-occupied over the past few days as my great friend and Internet guru, Mark van Jaarsveld, and I have been putting up a sister site to Culture Spain. This is Spain Football and should be of interest to any of you (or your partners!) if you are interested in Spanish football.
Of course, I can see a number of you starting to yawn – and the football afficionados amongst you wondering what on earth can be said that has not or is not already being said about the ‘beautiful game’?
Well, the great thing about Spain Football is that it is the Blog of a professional football agent, This means that you can get the inside story about Spanish football from someone who is in the business and who knows the personalities, the people and the realities of the Spanish football industry. This is, almost by definition, fascinating!
In fact, the professional football agent is an old friend of mine, Clive Jagger, who is the only British born registered football agent with the Spanish football Federation. This is quite an achievement. However, best of all, it means that Clive can give a native English speaker’s ‘take’ on soccer in Spain.
Actually, I think one of the most interesting aspects to Clive Jagger is that he is not just a specialist in Soccer in Spain but also an acknowledged expert in Central and Latin American soccer. Indeed, much of Clive Jagger’s time is spent in Latin America sourcing new, up and coming talent – which he then transfers to clubs in Europe or the US.
So, part of the story that will unfold on Spain Football will be Clive’s progress as he spots new football players, nurtures their progress and negotiates transfer deals between clubs. This is real niche information and should be compelling to anyone interested in football…
Meanwhile, Clive Jagger will be giving us all his tips on the Game of the Week, the Hero of the Week, the Tip of the Week, the Villain of the Week and the Goal of the Week – all of which should make engrossing reading!
